Cable Modem Freqs.?

Does anybody know what band or bands of frequencies a cable modem operates
on? I want to look at the possibility of making a crossover network to
connect a modem and TV to the same splitter port. Right now the modem only
goes through one splitter. I do not want to add another one.

TIA

In my house, the main line goes to a four-way, and everything connects to
that.
Makes no difference which port I put the cable modem on.

The range of frequencies is huge - basically, the whole cable spectrum.
Bands are 6MHz for NTSC (8MHz for PAL), with upstream between 5MHz and
42MHz, and downstream between 88MHz and 860MHz.

Providers typically stick to a few bands, but can easily change them on
you. They also tend to prefer the lower-power rolloff regions at the
ends of each spectrum, since they're more suitable for cable modems than
for TV.

Thanks, Richard. I was hoping it would be below 45 MHz for both directions.
