Ive just sold a BWD 539B as a 20M scope.
The buyer has now got back to me saying "a mate" of his said it
is only a 2M scope.
Anyone have any ideas what it actually is??
(a 2M scope seems a odd number)

** IIRC, the 539B was rated at 15 MHz vertical bandwidth.

The C was rated at 20 MHz and the D was 25 MHz.

btw Are old 539s considered high tech in NZ ?????

My one had the optional sheep probe.

Given the state of our power supply network, anything that uses
electricity will soon be unusable (or taxed out of existance)

** What ever happened to NZ's abundance of hydro and thermal electricity
??

Plus that amazing under sea, 600kV DC, link between the N and S
islands ??

We had Overseas Companies looking at NZ investment but go elsewhere because we
couldnt guarentee power supply.
We are running out of generation capacity & are looking at power cuts/outages
in the next few years.
We dont build any new power generation because of red tape: 3 years to get
resourse consent to build.Cant build wind turbines because no one wants them
near where they live. Cant build coal powered stations because of Kyoto?
Protocol. etc etc. There has been serious discussion that Nuclear is our only
realistic option (but we cant afford it anyway)
No one wants to invest in the power lines either so they arent looking too
good.
Auckland CDB was without power for months a few years back because no one
would fix the line power lines untill they all failed.
Yep, Aussie looks goood to a lot if kiwi's

Now if I could only perfect the butter powered generator. It keeps melting
next to the flux capacitor.
