Hi.
I have an analog phone line and never had any problems so far. To days ago I bought a DECT phone and since then there is a very loud buzz in
the phone line whenever I pick up the fixed (i.e. non-DECT) phone on my desk. The sound is *very* annoying while talking to someone.
The cause is not the AC-DC power supply of the DECT phone but the DECT base station itself since the buzz gets louder, the closer I put any
other phone to the DECT base. My question is that I want to know where this buzz is coming from: is it either some bad dejamming(sp?) within
the base or are these buzzing sounds actually the DECT signales sent out by the base? Can anyone guess?
Since this buzz indicates that there is some strong electromagnetic field aroud the base, is this going to be a problem to any data disks or
my PC's harddisk nearby the station?
thanx, Benjamin
