Buzzing on TDK tape in JVC S-VHS VCR

I am getting a buzzing sound on the Hi-Fi track of TDK tapes recorded
recently. Old TDK tapes play back fine. Other brands - Sony, Maxell, JVC
record fine (albeit with the odd picture dropout here and there). I am using
a JVC S-VHS deck model HRS-9500.

Any ideas?

Darren Stanley:
Are you using T-160 extra length tapes?
Could be a slightly worn pinch roller, worn capstan bearing, tensions
slightly off, etc....... or...... as long as other brands of tapes work OK,
just DON'T use TDK tapes...... especially the thinner tapes such as
T-160..... stay with the T-120, you will have less problems. Keep an eye
on this.... if you start having problems with other brands of T-120 tapes
you should get your machine into a service shop for proper repair, cleaning
and adjustment.
