I picked up a few 2x24 char LCD displays with EL backlighting. I was
able to get all the LCD to work via PC parallel port but I haven't
been able to find schematic diagram for EL inverter on the internet.
Google turns up too many hits for electronic dealers or surpluses, no
DIY plan at all. Will the inverter for CCFT work as I have a spare
one designed to drive 4 CCFT's (pulled from a dead 15" LCD) but unless
I can use all 4 outputs, it's liable to burn up as there's no mean of
selectively turning off unused output.
Any idea? Will be using PC's 12v to drive it.
