We have a used Broksonic 9" TV/vcr combo, and got the TV
working using a universal remote control made by Zenith.

How can we access the menu system, and/or control
which channels are active on the up/down switch?
None of the buttons on the cabinet seem to do that.

With the remote control that came with the unit when it was purchased new.

Unfortunately remote's been first broken, and then lost.
Like losing the key for your bike lock :)
Is there a hacksaw method? Could one of the more
sophistocated "universal remotes" work?

Such a nice TV, working with patient in a nursing home.
Any other ideas would be appreciated.

email one4all with the make and model number and some locally available
universal remotes they make to see which ones can have more codes programmed
into the unused keys. They will in a few business days email you back with
the information.

Don't expect immediate service though as this is a very short week for
non-retail businesses.

You can get the web site on any of the one4all remote control owners sheets
that come with the remotes and sometimes on the package.
