Book Microelectronics ?

Dear all,
I am considering buying the book

Microelectronics by Millman and Grabel
2nd Ed December 1989

and I was wondering if people can comment about this book.

My attraction to this book is that it covers all of electronics in one volume
so to speak, and it is recommended reading in many institutions.
I understand that this book is not for the absolute beginner, but that's
o.k. as I have learnt the fundamentals and what I need is a sort
of "bible" type book for all that is electronics.

Don't know this book, but my favourite electronics "bible" is "The Art of
Electronics" by Horowitz and Hill (2nd Ed.). A bit on the expensive side,
but worth it.

Be sure to check it out before you make a purchase.

I saw this book in the bookstore the other day. I was impressed (as a
semi-beginner) and was about to purchase it until I turned it around and saw
the price... yeouch! I'll have to wait until after Christmas! :p

Libraries are a wonderfull invention.
I'd love a cheap copy as an ebook.
I have scanned my copy (for my own use), but it's not perfect.

Also, http://www.amazon.com/ have a link to second hand books.
There is one used for around 80% of the new price.

Just had a look at it in the library, top book, thanks!
It has among other things a very good chapter on
power supplies.

have a look at the ebooks at www.ibiblio.com 'lessons in electric circuits '
