I'm penning a "popular technical" Bluetooth article & wish user
experiences & applications - mostly at the easy USB "dongle" level(
such as the DSE XH-4140 ). Given the abundance of DIY Wi-Fi antenna
on the same 2.4GHz band, there must be scope for similar "sardine
cantenna " Bluetooth devices ? One obvious use mounts a
weatherproofed Class 1 USB dongle up high outdoors ( connected via USB
cables & repeaters to an indoor PC ) for Line of Sight links to
devices within ~10m. Comapred with Wi-Fi the setup is easier & limited
range ensures better security. Anyone actually tried up to 8 Bluetooth
devices in a PAN ( Personal Access Netwoork )? Thanks !
