Why is this post election counting flipping the initial in-person totals not a surprise? The majority of these votes are coming from densely populated urban areas with strong democratic support (minorities mostly). The average American has no idea how difficult it is to vote in these overcrowded and mismanaged places. It can take hours- and I mean like 4 hours or more. The lines of people waiting to get in can extend for several city blocks, it\'s a real nightmare. Up until this last election, absentee ballot voting was only allowed for very few reasons as specified by state law, and they had to be good reasons. In this election, no justification was required. States like Nevada sent out mail-in ballots to every registered voter in the state. The large mail-in ballot voting in these urban areas simply reflects peoples\' preference for the convenience of dropping their vote in the mailbox of ballot box at their leisure and avoiding the nightmare of in-person voting. There is no fraud occurring. The election results as reported are more accurate and legal than ever before in U.S. history.

That\'s specious reasoning. AZ has long supported vote-by-mail -- even more
useful in RURAL areas (where it might be a 20 mile trek to a polling place).
E.g., we voted a few weeks ago (dropping our ballots off at the local
Recorder\'s office so they wouldn\'t be susceptible to USPS incompetence).
At the time, there was a steady flow of like-minded people there (to the
tune of probably 15 ballots per minute)

I think there has just been a considerably higher turnout than in past elections.

I seem to have seen that universally in various places around the country.
Are they ALL \"mismanaged\"?

And what facts are you basing this generalization upon? Have you looked at
the election laws in every state across the country to come to that
\"very few reasons\" assertion?

We\'ve been able to request PERMANENT vote-by-mail status for ALL of our
elections (which go beyond just state and federal as we frequently have
\"ballot initiatives\" that need approval). In years past, we\'d walk up to
the local park and vote, in person, there. COVID has changed the
calculus for many.

The problem is aggravated by places that don\'t allow ANY pre-election-day
processing of those ballots. Here, the signatures and other \"technicalities\"
on our ballots are examined soon after they are received (I knew that my ballot
was \"acceptable\" two days after dropping it off). So, if a problem is
discovered, I can be contacted and invited to \"cure\" my ballot BEFORE
election day. In other places, they can\'t do anything besides accumulate
those ballots UNTIL election day.

It will be interesting to see what the \"law and order\" orange guy has to
say on the subject (of law and order! :> )
