BGA assembly

Does anyone know of any PCB assemblers other than Hartec and AEMS who can
reliably do BGA assembly (120 pin BGAs) in Australia. There may be a
preference for a non AS9000/2000 accredited assembler for this particular
project.

Entec in SA have a BGA prototype assembly service.

A NON accredited supplier??

Try Labtam, Braeside Vic. Dunno if they do your work requirement
specifically, but they've been doing "computer" type PCB's for years. Should
be right up their ally.

Thanks I'll check them out.

A NON accredited supplier??
Yepp. It's about *perceptions* of price, turnaround time and difficulty of
getting a job done by an accredited supplier vs. a non-accredited supplier.

Depending on what sort of quantity you are after, I could give you details
of a TW manufacturer. They say the minimum is 500units, but they will go as
low as 200 in my experience, depending on the size and overall cost of the
project.

May I also suggest that you keep clear of the two companies you mention
unless you are chasing lots of repair work. I believe AEMS has improved
their game, but I'm only going by hear-say.

Alf,
Millison Technology is worth a shot. I think they have the flexibility
you're looking for...
