Better Drivers, Electronic Guns

In the interest of improving driving habits in general, we need a way to
give bad drivers some feedback. I see a wireless "gun" system as the
answer. Every car has a receiver and everybody gets an electronic gun
to shoot at bad drivers. The gun holds three bullets and bullets are
replace at a rate of one per month.

So if some one does something idiotic, you can can shoot him with your
electronic gun. Inside his car he hears a "ding" sound and the hit is
recorded. Insurance companies can demand to have access to the count.

So, if a guy cuts off three drivers and each one shoots him, he hears
three dings and he knows he did something stupid.

Naturally there would be all kinds of encryption to prevent hacking.

What I haven't work out is whether you can shoot the same car more than
once in a given interval. I figure getting three dings from three
drivers is more definitive than getting three dings from one driver.

In the US I hear they use real guns and get 100% realtime feedback.

Around here it's done with a single 9mm ;-)

About three years ago we had a running gun battle between two drivers
on the Hohokam Expressway. Unfortunately an innocent driver was
killed in the crossfire. **Both** driver-gunmen are now doing hard
time at Florence, even though the killing shot was clearly attributed
to one driver... we have a use a gun in any crime, go directly to jail
for a minimum of 20 years law.

what's to stop one from shielding the receiver or it's antenna and
preventing any reception,or jamming the device with noise?

This is just another "big brother" scheme.

Gallagher did this 20 years ago. You use rubber suction-cup darts, with
a flag that says, "Stupid." "When ya get about a half-dozen of these stuck
on yer trunk lid, the cops'll pull ya over and give ya a ticket for bein'
a asshole."

Cheers!
