I have a fairly old photographic studio flash unit which has a BC socket
to take a 150 watt modelling lamp. These bulbs are no longer available and
I have tried fitting an ordinary bulb but the neck is too fat to allow the
bulb to fit in . I got a BC to ES adaptor but it is marked "max 60 watts"
which isnt helpful-it smells a bit hot as it is made of a bakelite type
material.
Anyone know where I can get one that is rated higher ? .
I suppose it might be best to get the BC socket changed for an ES one
,possibly a ceramic one .
thx in advance
