Battery charger for a 6v sealed lead acid

Hello,
I am after a simply circuit to chrage a sealed lead acid battery.

I would like a circuit that stop changing after the battery is full( i
forget to trun things off untill it too late).

I have look at google and have found nothing i can make from parts at
dse/jaycar or wes.
Does any have a simply circuit???

Yep, and if you really want to get all precise, go to the manufacturer
website and look at the charging reccomendations. Look under "float
charge" . THis is what Phil is reccomending. As he said also,
implementations of this will vary according to your battery size. If
its something you can curl easily a 1 or 2 amp wall wart with a lm317
will be fine, if its something reasonably large, such as 3 of those
200 amp hour SLAs jaycar sold a while back, modifying a pc power
supply to give 6.9 volts at about 20 amps would be best

WES sell an "intelligent" 1A current limited SLA charger, code LAC601,
for $19.75.

The Unitrode (TI) UC3906 is probably one of the best controller chips around for
SLA charging. Jaycar and Altronics have had kits for both 6V and 12V SLA's
using these.

THe battery is a 4A/H, Just a little one.

THe battery is a 4A/H, Just a little one.

** You can get 6 volt, 0.5 amp hour ones - same physical size as 4
AAs.

An SLA charger is available from Jaycar that is ideal - the MB 3516 for
$33. It would be difficult to make one for any less.
