Ever seen the "Phalanx" system?
Standalone radar/machine-gun system that
could be retro-fit bolted onto any ship, etc.
Remarkably effective at shooting down
incoming missles.
 
As long as you promise not to try this at home....

Fix one end of a bit of string to the trigger. Attach other end of string to
a piece of card. Insert card in paper tray of the printer. Type in your
suicide note and press print.

The reliablity of the design would be crucial. Surely not to be Windows
driven...
