Is there a way to recover from the "Bad Window" message in the CIW
other than a full restart?

It depends on when you're getting it. Can you elaborate?

Its very intermittent, not reproducible. It can happen in Spectre or
VXL and of course always at the
most opportune moment. The main effect is that you can no longer
select an instance with the mouse.

Hi Rick,

Best thing is to send the log files (i.e. CDS.log) to Cadence Customer Support
when this happens - that way there's a chance of being able to diagnose the root
cause.

Regards,

Andrew.
