Backlight inverter driver ic id

I need help identifying an ic for the backlight inverters in the sharp
LC-15SH7U. The ic is marked as follows
2215
6M1
60ST
It is an 8 pin soic, no mfg label on it. It's marked on the board as
a transistor (q designation). Any Ideas?

Looks like the pinout is as follows, Pins 1 & 3 go to ground, Pins 2 &
4 are bases/gates, pins 5&6 go to one output with feedback going to
pin 4, pins 7&8 go to the other with feedback going to pin 2. The
supply rail is 22V. I can't find anything even close. This TV's
going to be junked because I can't find part that probably costs 12
cents.

Not sure about that part number, but the pinout you describe is pretty
standard for a dual N-channel power MOSFET.

FET#1 - S:3 G:4 D:5&6
FET#2 - S:1 G:2 D:7&8

If it's a free-running resonant converter, there might not be any
control IC.

I don't know why I couldn't find that, I guess I just didn't search
for the right terms. Any idea on how much current these will be
switching? It's a 15 inch LCD. Something like the FDS6912 may work,
I'll just have to give it a shot.

I'll be darned. How the heck did you find that? It doesn't look like
they'll do samples & only do large quantity sales. I guess at least I
have the data so now I can find a close enough equivalent.

Any thoughts on that?

I'm sure other parts have died. It's hard finding these parts for
this TV, I'm used to working on avionics, the parts can generally be
purchased in small quantities from a number of sources, it seems like
all these parts are made overseas & no one stocks them. Oh well, the
price to pay for cheap electronics.

I'm no component expert, which is why I'm asking for help. How about
the FDS3812? Looks like a close match, I would think it'd be ok for
a backlight inverter.

Have you tried Mouser? (www.mouser.com) Between them and Digikey, I can
usually find whatever I'm looking for.
