I have a Dolby 5.1 theatre system with just the analogue phono inputs (that
are used for my DVD player) and no other source inputs. I would like to add
the auxiliary output from my Hi Fi to the front channels. But as there is
only one input per channel I would like to make an automatic input channel
selector to accommodate both. Is there a simple circuit available to achieve
this? I have looked at
http://www.electronicsforu.com/efylinux/circuit/feb2003/Add%20on%20stereo%20channel%20selector.pdf -
but I am unable to source one of the ICs and it seems a little over the top
for what I want to achieve.
Thanks in advance
