Assembly company NYC area?

I want to have a small electronic device assembled in runs of 250-500 a few
times per year. It will involve a simple pcb and a moderate (but simple)
mechanical assembly. Anyone have any references for a (preferably metro NYC)
company that does this small volume assembly?

You should be able to find such in the Yellow pages. One I know of is Algen
in Eatontown, NJ. Off Parkway Exit 105. (732)389-1924. I can't remember the
name, but another one we worked with is in the Whippany NJ area. These
poeople will want you to assemble a complete kit of parts, and , I think,
prefer all components on taped reels.

That's enough quantity to go offshore. You will more than likely get a
better price from asia.
