This is a great rice cooker. It is simple to use, easy to clean and does NOT make a sticky spray mess like many other types do. It is also a nice size if you have limited counter space. We mostly use sticky Japanese rice, and are very happy with the way it turns out in this cooker. It is great for our family - by making full capacity we can feed up to 6 people at one meal, but on special occasions we do sometimes like to make 4 instead of 3 cups (they say that 3 cups dry makes 6 cups cooked - I haven't double checked this), so the capacity is right at the edge for us.Still, great rice cooker for a good price - I highly recommend it.
I always thought a rice cooker was a waste of space, but this one really works, and I'm glad I got it. I've used it 4 times and the rice is perfect each time. Perfect for two!
Got it today and used it to cook 1 cup of rice. Made great rice, kept it warm and tasty until my dinner was done, with no monitoring at all. Haven't tried it for steaming veggies yet. But just having an easy way to cook great tasting rice without having to time the cooking with cooking of other food, or keep it from burning or getting cold made this well worth the price.Yum!
I bought this with the idea that I would avoid the hazards of nonstick pots (what I have used previously)by using a rice cooker with a good, old-fashioned aluminum pot. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, I cannot get a batch of rice where the entire bottom of the pot doesn't have rice fused to it. I've experimented with washing the rice, using cooking spray, coating the rice with oil, stirring it once, you name it. In each case most of the rice has turned out acceptably, except for that darn, rock-hard layer at the bottom. After each batch the pot needs to be soaked for hours, then scrubbed--hard. It doesn't seem to me that this rice cooker is more convenient than cooking rice on the stove.
this item is just the right size for a senior citizen and who lives alonevery easy to use and really only one button to push except to plug in.Versatile in you make rice or steam veg's but will not take up any counter space.......
Take the multi-tasking out of your meal with the 3-Cup Rice Cooker from Aroma. This practical little appliance beautifully prepares any type of rice and even steams meat and vegetables. All you have to do is turn it on; when cooking is finished it automatically switches to keep-warm mode. The tempered glass lid allows you to monitor your foods as they cook without releasing the steam. Includes measuring cup, rice spatula and wire rack for steaming.
