On my 18 months old CD72T the green plasma display has gone

Thanks for your reply. Today the display came back briefly,This can be from the power supply, logic control, display driver board, or
the display tube itself. You will have to have it properly checked.

It's definitely not the on/off function (remote andIf you are the original owner and purchased the unit from a legitimate
dealer, then it should still be under warranty. You can contact
Audiophile Systems, the US importer at www.aslgroup.com. If you are not
in the US, you can contact Arcam directly at www.arcam.co.uk. Warranty
policies may differ in other countries.
P.S. Try the display button on the remote, since if the display is set
to off, it will only "wake up" when the unit receives a command.
