An Apple Display 1710av has a 50% reduced horizontal width; vertical height
is normal. Are there any adjustments to 'twiddle', or problematic minor parts
which could cause this, in lieu of partially shorted yoke coil(s)?

thx for info, -ph

The problem is not an adjustment. The monitor requires service. There may
be a number of failed components. Without proper troubleshooting it is
impossible to guess at the fault. Many of these monitors were made by Sony,
and a few others for Apple. If you contact Apple Computers, they can
recommend a service rep as close as possible to you, who is authorized,
trained, and properly equipped to give you an estimate and do the service,
so you may take an intelligent decision to service it or not.
