Hi there;

I have 2 Apex DVD players in for repair, neither have
sound, but both have ok video. The mod #'s are AD-1000 and AD-1100W.
I have cleaned the pick ups and I have ruled out ribbon connectors.

Is there any history on this problem ?
I didn't find any mention in a google search.
These things are not worth expensive repairs of course
so I though if there's any "poop" on this we may avoid the landfill !

Thanks,
Rick

I think there is a Web page dedicated to Apex junk
I cant put my finger on it right now put its out there.
Best of luck

Do they have optical outs? If they do, is there sound using an
external surround decoder on the optical outs?

Go to the menu and see if the sound is set to optical or analog. Been a fun
one at times, since it's usually buried in a menu.
