Anyone tried adjusting LCD screen view pitch?

Having got a reasonable price on a Dell 1503FP flatscreen monitor, I wasn't
really surprised to discover that it's viewing-angle was a little vertically
challenged, in that it was optimum at the extremes of up or down, and very
mediocre at the normal viewing angle. Is there likely to be some method of
adjusting some pitch or bias control that doesn't risk me killing it
completely?. Obviously I have no warranty to void, so that's something.

Isnt the v iewing angle a pysical constraint of the constuction? Not
something that can be altered electronically as far as i'm aware ..

And to my knowledge of the way the screens are constructed, this is NOT
something changeable ..

Well, it must have gone out of adjustment somehow, as I can't conceive that
this left the factory like this. I agree with your logic, however. I just
hope it wasn't due to being dropped or something. Trying to adjust it using
that method result in a more dramatic outcome than I need.

Cheers,

Bill

Contrast adjustment (if the screen has one) usually adjusts the viewing
angle

Ironically, yes, setting the contrast to zero seems to give the best image
with the best discrimination between similar hues...it's still a little lame
though. Thanks for that. Bill
