Anyone know an "ask an expert" type of website for do it you

New:
If your question relates to consumer electronics this could be the place to
ask your question.
Before you post your question you might want to spend a little of your
search time at the website for this newsgroup at
http://www.repairfaq.org/
There is a wealth of troubleshooting tips, repair procedures, component
testing methods and IMPORTANT safety information at that site.
Also by entering a few key words in the search line you can find specific
information in a google groups search. Many times you will find that your
question has already been answered by someone else's repair experience......
spend some time searching around...... and learning what others have to say
about repairs similar to yours.
If you are still stuck feel free to post your question.... be certain to
include make and model number, preliminary troubleshooting and testing
results, observations, etc, etc.

like they have for plumbing problems?

Thanks, New

Its not the same as Doing Plumbing work. Lethal Voltages are present in a
TV. I know at least 1 Group online that was what you asked for, and they had
to close down because someone was nearly killed after reading it, and
attempting a repair themselves.

Any good one you find will ask for qualifications or Charge a Fee to join.

repairfaq.org is an excellent resource. I have also found a lot of good
info on http://www.elmswood.guernsey.net/

techforce:
What ever happened to "personal responsibility"............ during this cold
and nasty weather some lady is suing the city street department because when
she was crossing the snow and ice covered street, she slipped on the icy
road........ well, gosh, the fact that all the cars are slipping and sliding
should have been a clue to this gal. .... and some shark lawyer will get
a dim-wit judge to grant a trial and end up costing all of us responsible
tax payers more money.
By the way, as a side note, an investigative reporter for the local paper
found out that this same, out of work, "disabled" on state disability, lady
has 2 other legal actions going....... one with Safeway (slipping on a wet
floor near the snow and ice cleared, but wet, entrance..... and one with a
health club because the treadmill exercise "hurt" her back and there were no
warning notifications on the machine. Geeeesh.
