Any users of Micro-Cap 7 here? Some doubts

I've downloaded the demo of Micro-Cap 7. Great program.
But now, I have a doubt: I've added more models to the libraries,
and would like to have my models show in the menus. Is that possible?
And I have an op-amp model that uses the pinout: + - OUT V+ V-, how do
I reorder the pins?

Thanks.

That is one of the simulators I use, and I've added many components to
the program. The Component menu is controlled by the Component
Editor. The tree structure in the Component editor is the structure
of the Component menu. If these are SPICE subcircuit parts (.SUBCKT)
that you are adding, you can use the Import Wizard in the Component
editor. This will add in any new parts from the library. Not sure if
this is available in the demo. Some parts may need some work after,
but they will be flagged for you.

The other option is to add the parts individually, and there's an Add
Part Wizard for that. I haven't really used this one since I've been
a Micro-Cap user for a long time so I still use my original method
when adding one part. Hard to break old habits.

What are the limitations of the demo model, BTW? I tried it once and
thought the GUI was the best of any simulator I've yet tried. Most
impressive.

This is from the Spectrum Soft site:

- 50 components max;
- Limited functionality (e.g. filter design with 3rd order filter max);
- Limited speed.

You mean you still haven't tried mine yet:)

explain all aspects of the whole of such system.

Let me know when you've come up with a revision that you're really
pleased with and I'll happily give it another look, Kev.

Hello to Chaos,

I have used the Micro-cap 7 demo version for really some many weeks
now and being a long time user of Micro-Cap 6 pro version, I too use
the old 3-part way of adding new parts, but I find the new adding
parts wizard of Micro-Cap 7 much easier. I found both ways in Chapter
12 of their User Guide which I believe can be loaded down from their
web site.

To say the truth, I didn't like the Micro-Cap interface too much. It looked
cluttered on my 15" monitor @ 1024x768 (max. resolution).

I am really pleased with my GUI, I use it all the time. In fact, I don't
get many compliants. I do respond to user criticism, so what
specifically did you have in mind?

Ok. I'll d/load a new copy and check it out when time permits. It's
always interesting trying out these simulators.
