Complete novice no idea no clues, unsure if this is the right group to post.

Our microwave which is just out of guarentee, the lcd has stopped working
ive opened it up and where the lcd is connected as come away etc

It is or was connected by the means of a thin piece of clear plastic (like
sellotape) with 15 black lines going through it etc, i could post a picture
if required, what i need to know what is this plastic called so i can try
and find a supplier etc.
