The plus is that at the end of August I ordered some stuff from
Hosfelt, and after 5 weeks and having to cancel over half of the
items, it finally arrived. I bought some 6V 200mA wall warts, for
$1.99. I put the dmm on one, and it measured 6.04V. When I put a 62
ohm resistor across it, it measured 6.01V. Wow, a regulated wall wart
for under two bucks! The brand name is Salom.
Some other minuses were the LEDs I ordered. One, in a 10 mm package,
is next to worthless, since it projects what looks like a Sputnik, a
black ball with four antennas sticking out if it, on the wall several
feet away; the light pattern is atrocious. Other LEDs were almost as
bad. Very disappointing. I'm glad I only bought a few of each. They
were also expensive.
I never did get my Kelvin Clips. Oh well, maybe next time. The
ferrite toroids were not what I had hoped for, but then they don't
give enough specs to make a judgment on what the inductance will be.
I saw someone else's post with the URL for some LEDs on Ebay. I
signed up for Ebay and Paypal, and after some very disappointing
problems I finally ordered and paid for some 3mm LEDs from Chi Wing in
Hong Kong. Supposed to get here in 7 or 8 days. I hope I don't make
a habit of this.
