That\'s usually what happens when businesses have more employees than they need. The headlines as usual are misleading because that 18,000 figure applies to career path employees in human resources and e-commerce. They will be eliminating many more positions in warehousing and distribution that have such ridiculously high turn over there\'s no need for layoffs, the people self-layoff all the time. Amazon just won\'t replace them.
