I recently received an ad from Altium on their software package. But when I
went to their website Altium.com I found plenty of information but no price
tag. I have used ORCAD and AUTOCAD in the past when I was employed, but
they are also expensive either to an uninformed employer or an electrical
engineer that has landed the job yet. Are vendors reluctant to share
pricing information just in case either the employer or employee actually
meet?
Then of course there is the other problem of work experience or going into
business for yourself and not knowing what to do when no employees show up.
Or whether the cad equipment is the full package that might actually be
needed. Let's not forget the employer's unknown application, cad alone will
not solve all his or her problems.
Generally, a cover letter or resume is not enough to land a job or business.
Research and preparation for the job or
business is part of the overall process.
