i just can't take that Cadence Waveform Viewer anymore.
it is not practical and, when you have a few waveforms it
turns so slow you can get a coffee every 2 minutes, which
is not good for my health.

is there any alternate waveform viewer which can read PSF
or another format PSF can be converted to ?
i need support for analog waveforms.

Hi,

from Cadence Design Framework II version 5.0 there is
an external waveform viewer for analog waveforms,
external means not bound into the 'Artist' environment.
It's called 'wavescan'.
<install_dir>/tools/dfII/bin/wavescan

Also I know a waveform viewer from Sandwork called
'WaveView Analyser' which has a link to the Composer
Schematic entry for crossprobing and which can read
'psf' format.

It gets slow only if you have got far too many points for your waveform
and/or your box is too slow.

It is very likely to take pretty much the same time with any waveform
viewer.
