Some commentary about the pros and cons of AI.

I guess Elon Musk has called for a temporary halt to its development.
Fat chance of that happening.
I\'ve read that singers can be imitated well enough to \"sing\" songs they might not even heard about. Diana Ross and the Supremes, for example could \"record\" the most accented sob, sob, twang, twang song ever recorded. Among those might be Hey Good Lookin\', Jambalaya, Great Balls of Fire, or anything here.

Yeah. The last thing we\'d want is self-driving *cars*!

It\'s been possible to mimic a given spoken voice for many years, now.
Knowing *how* a particular speaker might impose inflection and
cadence on a random phrase is relatively new technology. (prior art
didn\'t need to \"understand\" what was being said)

One of the risks of all these audio databases is that it voluntarily
hands biometric data over to <whomever> -- with no assurances as to
how it will be used or further distributed/sold.

[Think about how much Alexa/Siri hears, how many CCTV feeds have
captured your image, stride, etc. while shopping or walking in
semi-public spaces, etc.]

The problem with biometric data is YOU can\'t revoke that credential
(unless you can change your voice, fingerprints, retina scans, etc.).
So, it\'s a permanent sort of identity theft.

what is marketed today by Bill BlueScreen and called AI , has nothing to do with any intelligence, real or artifficial
