I've seen all the information on the arcing flyback, I've seen so much
information but nothing fixes them completely. This post is just for any
information someone might have in repairing any of these monitors, anything
it doesn't matter what. From all my reading the PD-959 by ADI seems to be a
Lemon. Hope we can organize allot of the information out there into one
post. I'll be replying to add more and more also and hope you will all do
the same. Thanks for your time and information.
Side note mine had a shorted switching transistor in the SMPS that even
removed mine still blew a fuse. The HOT is bad (shorted and have to check
the flyback) so would this of A) caused the switching transistor to crap
out. or B) is the HOT also shorting it out blowing the fuse (it is bad but I
thought it would just shut down if this part went bad.). Remember its more
important just to post any information. This is for everyone's benifit not
just to answer my question. Thank you,
