hello.

i need to simulate a transistor and i need the one axis to be lets say
log(current) or current^2 can it be done and how?

i need to give as input to se transistor like 3 deferent voltages
(like Vbs) and plot the results in the same plot.is there a compontent
in analoglib that can do that or is it something in the ADE?

and finaly my documentation doesnt work.cadence canot find the files.
can some one help me about this?

thank you for your time

Hi There

Turn the logScale on your axis for the log(current). For more
complicated stuff, instead of playing around with axes, one could
better play around with the waveforms. i,e fire up the calculator,
select the waveform of interest, apply the transformation and plot the
new waveform. In your example, select the DC waveform, apply the
square function from the calculator, save it as a new waveform you can
then plot on the normal axis.

sweep variables and parametric analysis would do the trick. If you
want to plot the ID=f(vds, vgs) of a MOS, then make a DC simulation
with the Drain voltage as a sweep variable, then make a parametric
analysis vy varying the gate voltage. Does this sounds good for you ?

and finaly my documentation doesnt work.cadence canot find the files.

Your description of the problem is not helpful at all. What does it
mean 'doesnt work' ? have you got any warnings/errors ?
Have you tried cdsdoc and got a message like:
CDSDoc is no longer available. It has been superseded by Cadence Help.
Type 'cdnshelp' to access the help system. ?
Anyway, give a look at the following link, it explains bits about the
Cadence documentation. I would recommend to use the cdnshelp though.
