Hi,

I have written a skill function whose o/p is a string. This works correctly when this is evaluated in Virtuoso console/calculator but doesnt evaluate when added as an expression in ADE outputs.

Is this expected or known issue?

Thanks,
yvk

It's expected.

Andrew.

Andrew,

So you mean that the ADE doesnt support string outputs?

Any alternate solution for this

Thanks,
yvk

No, it doesn't support string outputs. What are you trying to do?

Andrew.

I have looked at your suggestion at http://www.cadence.com/Community/forums/p/18071/1250239.aspx

and wanted to use those functions in ADE window itself.

Thanks,
yvk
