add shape to net

Guest
All,

I have a question in regards to "add shape to net' If I use this
command to add connectivity, is this connectivity permanent? For
instance, if I add the connectivity to a stitched path, will that
connectivity be permanent during update components and nets?

I am hoping it is permanent.

Thank you,
Eric

Eric,

I believe it will be. The property lxStickyNet gets added when you do this,
which tells it to keep the connectivity, rather than inheriting from touching
shapes. If you remove the lxStickyNet property, then it can update the
connectivity from connected shapes.

(Note, I've not tested this - or done any experiments; I'm making my best guess
as to how it will behave).

Best Regards,

Andrew.

Andrew,

My experiments, which is likely to be less reliable than your best
guess, leans toward being permanent.

Thank you for your reply,
Eric
