Acoustic Resaerch Speakers re-coned in North Ryde (or near)

** Sorry to tell you Mike but the AR company has been out of business for
quite a while. Then AR brand name was owned by a marketing company called
Retocon who went belly up last year - see

I doubt that anyone in Aussie can re-cone AR drivers today since no spare
cones exist - or do you really just need re-foaming of the woofer
surrounds ??

Not totally correct Phil. AR was bought by audiovox. So AR *IS* still in

business.
Now, getting parts for a older pre bankruptcy unit is another matter.

** The famous AR speaker manufacturing company ceased to exist several
years ago.

Retocon resorted to marketing all sorts of junk with the AR badge -
stuff from China etc.

Now, getting parts for a older pre bankruptcy unit is another matter.

** Likely to have been impossible even before Retocon went belly up.
