OTTAWAâA suspended Mountie accused of killing an Ottawa police officer
last December is now also facing child porn and sexual assault charges.
Kevin Gregson, 43, appeared in court today to face charges of possession
of child pornography and four counts each of sexual assault causing
bodily harm and sexual interference with a child under 16.
Gregson is accused of first-degree murder in the stabbing death of
Const. Eric Czapnik.
Gregson was also in court for the conclusions of a psychiatric
assessment his lawyer asked for related to the murder charge.
According to Gregsonâs lawyer, the doctor who examined him says there
are no issues regarding criminal responsibility, but she plans to ask
her client if he wants a second opinion on that assessment.
Gregson is due back in court June 21 on the sexual assault charges.
