Hi, all

I am after a device that will simulate fault conditions on AC line.
Basically, I need to introduce spikes to about 1000V with programmable
durations as well as line breaks of about 300ms with programmable durations.

Depends on the price I will either buy or rent one. I just checked Tech
Rentals site and did not find anything there.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Rudolf

** Try a flouro lamp switched on and off by a timer - my desk lamp
creates whoppers.

as well as line breaks of about 300ms with programmable durations.

** A triac gated by a 555 will do that.

** You could of course spend 10s of thousands instead.

IIRC Tech rentals have a transient generator + line fault
generator called a "Best". I have used one before for CE
compliance testing.

Thanks,

Looks like I will be getting this one too.
