Abstract generation rules

Dear all,
When I tried to generate abstract view from the layout, it
needed abgen.rul file, but I cannot find it in the AMI05. Is there any
way that I can generate it myself, or where can I find it?

Sorry. I used "find . -name "abgen.rul"" command and found abgen
rules. But when I run Abstract-> run abgen->abgen, there was an error
"no raw graphics layer exists in the tech file: via
6 via = geomOr("via")"

Should I modify the abgen.rul file?

Renee,

Was the abgen.rul anything to do with the technology you're using? If the rule
file is looking for a layer "via", and you don't have a layer "via" - the
chances are that the rule file is going to have other problems.

You're asking technology-specific questions to a wide audience with little
knowledge of the technology you're using.

Far better to ask whoever provides the technology setup.
