About Using several hundred of RAMs in FPGA

Each RAM is small in size(about 6bit*128 or so) and I want to read from
all of them in one clock period. Will such a number of RAMs slow down
my maximum frequency?

Hi Lin,

Nice to see you again ;-) Do you remember, we have a talk on LDPC,
hehe.

I don't think hundred of RAM will result in some performance
deteriorate. You may just add some reg at the O/P of the RAM. For
BRAM's Tsu is smaller than its Thd. And if you have some powerful syn
tools like Synplify, choose pipeline and the tool will do the same
thing for you.

BTW, What's FPGA do you choose V2 or V4 or Altera's?

Best regards,
Zhu
