About those 15 minute radio shack rechargeable batteries

Anyone know anything about these doo dads? They will recharge in a normal
time in a regular lithium battery charger, but what did the rat shack do to
reduce the time to only 15 minutes ? Those things sure do get hot while on
the charge....almost too hot to touch. The thought did cross my mind that
they were about to blow up, but I guess the ratty boys wouldn't sell lawsuit
makers. Still, the charger is the only one I know of that has a fan inside
it for cooling....

That would probably be the Rayovac I-C3.
