I must see if he gets any bids.....

I wouldn't be surprised of this guy gets some money for this. A few years
back, I heard on the news, that some guy even got money for auctioning his
grandmother on Ebay! I have no idea if this was a joke or not...

I just saw posted in another group that some chap was trying to auction his
wireless phone number - 867-5309. Remember Jenny, Jenny - the tune from the
80's?? I guess bidding was into 5 digits when Verizon had the ad pulled
pending legal issues.

I heard they got sued over that. Dunno who won but maybe that's why they busted
his bubble. I'm suprrised they didn't permanently nix that number in the U.S.,
just like they don't use 555-XXXX for obvious reasons.

Of course if you really want bizzare, I saw something for like $1 million that
I didn't even know what it was. A check on Google turns out that it's a user ID
and password (a seat) on an online (I guess) called Days Of Old Camelot I
think. I guess if you do well in the game you get more warriors and arms and
apparently this guy did pretty good. He was outdone, later I saw another "seat"
in that game for $10 million.

I guess the story of the unassembled Heathkit going for 5 figures has been
blown out of the water.

That was in a quiz they sent out at work last year, I was feeling like a
smartass so I picked up the phone (425 area code) and dialed it, got some
guy's answering machine with him singing the number to that song in the
outgoing message, haven't called recently to see if he still has it.
