9vac transformer

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get a 9VAC 1amp transformer? It needs to have
the standard "feet" for screw mounting to the bottom of a box.

Because it needs to be internally mounted and the space I have is limited
it must be as small as possible which rules out any of the multi-tapped
units that DSE, Jaycar and Radio Parts sell.

Any help appreciated.

** Lots of them around.

** Painted yourself into a corner - eh ??

Any help appreciated.

** A 9VA E-core tranny can only be made so small - not much smaller than
the 2155 types you say are much too big.

A 10 VA toroidal would be smaller - but you have ruled them out.

** STOP PRESS:

Altronics have a "Compact 10 VA", PC mount transformer in 9 volt AC at 1.1
amps - the M7258. ( 36.mm5 x 48.5mm x 40.5 mm ) IME, you can safely
use globs of Selleys Silicone "Roof and Gutter Sealant" to attach one of
these into the corner of a box leaving the solder terminals exposed.

Maybe I need to expand the list of companies I deal with!! I'm probably out
of touch a little too.

Actually it's for a very strange project. I need to fit this transformer
inside a PC power supply so along with 5vdc and 12vdc I can also supply
9VAC.

Any help appreciated.

yeah, no chance of fitting it inside the case.

Thanks for that Phil, I'll check the dimensions and see if it's a fit.
