7-Segment Plasma displays

I pulled a couple of 7-segment plasma
displays out of an old cash register.
One has 'NEC FIP6A13' on the back,
the other has 'NEC LD8221'.

Just to see them work, I'd like to
breadboard them and light them up. :)

What I need to know is, what voltage
are they likely to require? Are these
things usually common-cathode/anode or
multiplexed in some fashion? Do they
require a current limiting resistor?

A Google search pulled up lots of
'plasma display' tv's, but nothing on
these...

I think the FIP series parts were vacuum fluorescents.

That looks more like what I have.
Thanks for the correction!

It's VF if it has a honey-comb screen in front of the segments.
