7-seg specification?

I've got some old 7-segment LED displays I want to use. There idents on the
side read:

IEE8322R
8430
F

The main thing I want to do is confirm if they are common cathode or anode.
I suspect they are CC.

You can easily determine the pinout and polarity with the aid of a
power supply and resistor (and a couple of clip leads). Connect one
pin of the display to the negative terminal of the supply, and a
resistor to the positive terminal (360 ohms or so for 5 volts). Touch
the resistor to each other pin to see what, if anything, lights.
Ground each pin in turn, and repeat....

Further to the above, the displays came from Farnell Components in the UK,
part no. 103-778.

Further to the above, the displays came from Farnell Components in
the UK, part no. 103-778.
Page 400 of my Farnell Catalogue (1988/89) lists them as CC as
you expected. 103-777 is CA. The pinout is there, too.
