I am looking for a couple of the old 5101 CMOS RAM 4x256Kb chips and
information on them and the manufacturer.
Thanks

You'd really be wanting the specs for that.

The 5101 is 256 by 4bits wide.

Have you done a search?

The easiest solutino for getting them is to use something that's more
recent and available. Such as a single 8bit wide static RAM. Likely
you will not find something as small as 256 bytes, but it will be cheap
and available, and you can simply throw away the unwanted bytes.

Search for "5101 ram" at http://www.datasheetarchive.com/

You can also get the datasheet for the Toshiba TC5101 at
http://www.pisi.com.pl/piotr433/tc5101.zip

It's 4 x 256 bits, not Kbits.

Here are a few datasheets:

These are getting harder to find, especially if you need the faster version
of them. You might try email to (catfishh AT bellsouth.net). Last I
checked, he had some of these for sale at $5/each.

I tried to offer you some potentially similar chips for free, but your
address bounced.

Yes, it is a nuisance when an invalid email account is used for a
request of this sort. I too had a bounce when I tried to contact our
friend in Australia.

I believe it *was* once a valid address. It's just that he's changed
his ISP and forgotten to reconfigure his newsreader. I'm prepared to
forgive him. :)

Gentlemean, thanks for your tolerance. I have never made a request on
this group previously and was incorrectly using an old ISP address. I
think that I have corrected my address now so more "bouncing"
