Depends on what you're using it for. I built a 2M RF preamp and I
believe I subbed a 3N211 or something like that. Memory's kinda
fuzzy, a lotta water's gone under the bridge since I played with
those.

You would basically see those at the same time as the 40673.

I think realistically, that if someone needs a substitute for
an RF MOSFET, they look at what is available, rather than "what
replaces this...?". I gather that not many such devices are being
made anymore; certainly the common MOSFETs of thirty years ago have
faded out.

So one would look in places that sell RF MOSFETs (and I assume in
this case places that sell in small quantities), and then start
looking at the specs of what's available, comparing them with the
original device.

I thought a place like RF Parts, http://www.rfparts.com
carried some small signal MOSFETs, but a quick check shows nothing.

Dan's Small Parts lists small signal RF MOSFETs, and not only is
it easy to order small orders from him, but he carries the sorts
of things that someone needing RF MOSFETs might also be interested
in. http://www.danssmallpartsandkits.net

There must be some similar places to check, but I can't think of
any at the moment.

Thanks for all the input! I do have some mosfets one set is ERS 221 and
the other set is motorola MFE521 552,I think they will replace it, but I
don`t think they have as high of voltage rating. Rob
