Im looking at two triacs
one is 6A 400VRM TO-220 2N6343A
other 6A 400 V TO-220 L4004L6

My simple question is What does VRM mean are both of these basicaly the same
? Im looking at a schematic that calls for the a Triac that is 6A 220 or 400
100ma.

Should I just ignor the RM of the VRM.

Thanks

Usually their voltage ratings are listed as VDRM and VRRM.

VDRM = Peak Repetitive Forward Off State Voltage

VRRM = Peak Repetitive Reverse Off Stat Voltage

Most likely you are looking at the VDRM rating.
