I'm reposting this to sci.electronics.repair at the suggestion of someone on
sci.electronics.components. Perhaps one of you can help me...
I'm looking for an equivalent to the 2SK2475, to repair a blown SMPS. I
only need 3 or 4 of them. But they don't appear to be made any more.
This is an N-channel enhancement MOSFET, with TO220F (isolated) body style,
with pinout G-D-S if you're looking at it from the front. Specs are:
Vds(max)=500V
Id(max)=12A
Pd(max)=50W
Ron(typ) = 0R55
Vth(typ)= 3V
Qg = 42nC
I've hunted through the Digikey and Mouser catalogs but didn't find anything
that was that powerful in an isolated TO220 case style. (I could probably
use a non-isolated TO220AB or TO262 and a silicon pad if need be; but I
don't have room for a TO247.) I've also checked the NTE cross reference
site, to no avail.
The closest thing I've found is an IRFSL11N50A, in a TO262 package, but it's
only rated Id(max)=11A. Or the IRFB13N50A, in TO220AB, which is 14A, but
has a much higher Qg of 81nC. I have no way of knowing whether those
differences are a problem in this circuit.
Anybody got any other places to try, or any other ideas for a substitute?
I'm in the US.
Thanks,
