Repairing a 1960's vintage magnetic recorder that uses about 10 of these
germanium complimentary pairs. Wondering if anyone knows of a
"modern" silicon pair I can sub for them or should I just use
the NTE102/103 germanium replacement version.

Also, do germaniums leak by sitting on the shelf or must they have
seen usage (power) for this to occur?

Thanks for the help on this!

They're probably easy enough to sub but you'd likely need to re-bias them
slightly. I've done this sort of thing but you need to know what you're doing.

Yes, Vbe for germanium is about 0.3V and for silicon its about 0.6V
